I did a lot of research before buying my first mini split. Throughout all the different mini splits, I always ended up coming back to Della. I installed the unit by myself. Even though I have an HVAC background, I don't have a certification. If you can watch some installation videos on YouTube and read the instructions first, you can do it yourself. Make sure you measure first to make sure your lineset will reach. I did not need to cut and re-flare my lines because I was able to install the outside unit at the perfect distance to use all the line. The indoor unit is very light and easy to handle. The lines in the evaporator are nitrogen charged, so when you remove the end caps, go slowly. Once it was all hooked up and I had vacuumed the lineset, it was time for the test run. Follow the instructions for the test. The unit cooled and heated perfectly. It is very quiet inside and outside. The inside unit has automatically moving vents, up & down, left & right. It pulls around 8 amps total in cooling and around 9 amps in heating. Those were a quick test amp draw, hopefully they dont up much from those readings. The amp draw goes down as the temperature gets closer to your set temperature because the inverter compressor adjust itself as needed. In the end, I would purchase another della if I needed another one. It's only been a couple weeks since the install at the time of this review so I cannot speak of longevity. However, I installed it correctly and it looks like a good quality unit.

Straight forward install . If you never installed one MAKE SURE TO WATCH VIDEO. Works fine. Box not damaged but unit was dented I believe before it was boxed . Line wrap is not a sticky tape like I believed to be even after watching video. Was quick delivery an hope I wasn't lied to about warrenty.

I've had this mini split for about 2 months now, installed and working for a little over a month now. I have a finished insulated workspace in my pole barn that I use as my office since I work from home. I bought this unit to cool and heat the space. I live in Michigan and we have hot humid summers and very cold winters. I attempted to do this as a DIY and bought this unit since it was the cheapest one I could find - I didn't want to spend a lot on it since it's not in my house. First word of advice, this is VERY difficult to install as a total DIY. While mounting the unit, drilling the hole in the wall, running the lines, installing the outdoor unit, and running the electrical for it isn't that hard, the HVAC portion is tricky and you really need to know what you are doing in order to do this correctly. The lines must be vacuumed before releasing the refrigerant or you risk having moisture in the lines which will ruin these units over time. I ended up doing most of the DIY myself but called out an HVAC company to pressure test and vacuum the lines and add the refrigerant. It turned out that I did have a leak in the lines, one of the connections needed to be reflared. It's been up and running for over a month, and it quickly cools my office space and keeps it nice and comfortable. This unit uses hardly any electricity. I've monitored the usage while it's running and my total usage for my barn was about 800 watts, including the lights and my computer and monitors, so this thing is super efficient. Before I installed this I was using a portable AC unit (one of the ones where you connect an air hose to your window) and my electric bill for my barn dropped by half after installing this and getting rid of the portable AC. Both the outside and inside units are whisper quiet. I will come back and provide an update in the winter months on how well it heats when it gets really cold outside. So far, I'm very impressed with the quality considering the price, and plan to install a few more in my house since we don't have central AC currently.

Over all the install went well. There were some minor screws missing for the isolation pad. Also the side to side osolation feature doesn't seem to go very far right facing and left from the unit. That's nothing I can't live with just would have been nice to be able to set it up that way. 13' wires and refer lines could have been a bit longer. Overall I am happy with the unit.

These units are incredibly easy to install and their app works perfectly. We own a small B & B with four guest rooms. We bought one to use as a trial, it works perfect, so we have bought three more to install. Having the app for these situations is perfect if a guest is gone all day, we can make temperature adjustments to save on electricity without entering the room. Della has done a great job on these.

I bought this unit to heat/cool my detached 2-car garage/shop. It works great so far. Everything except the L-brackets to mount the exterior compressor unit was included. The instructions were easy to follow, but this is a two-person installation that took two hours, with a pre-wired circuit in my garage - I would have been hard pressed to do it on my own. Also, I bought the 110v system, and wish now I had gotten the 220v - more efficient. My only complaint was there is insufficient room to stow the hoses behind the interior blower unit, with the result I could not snap the bottom clasps shut, although the unit is hanging from the top hooks OK..

This is a good unit when installed correctly. Ditto, regarding other reviews stating to watch install videos and take your time to install correctly. For installation, you need the following. Vacuum pump, Halogen leak detector, Torque wrench 15 to 40 NM capable for the unit that I installed. I installed this onto an agricultural building ( well insulated and 550 sq ft floor area). During the recent 85 F, 80 % humidity, this unit kept the interior temp at 65 F. The unit is very quiet. Disregard longevity rating. I've had this unit running for about a week.

The unit is directly over my head in the living room and I have no issues hearing the TV. I like that I can control it from my phone. I also really like the oscillating feature. It took some special tools that we didn't have on hand like the right size hole saw. Overall my husband said it wasn't terrible to install. It takes a while to cool down(it's been ridiculously hot/humid this summer) but then it keeps the temp nicely. The price seemed very reasonable. I am quite pleased!!

First, I'd like to thank everybody who had reviewed it and convinced me to buy it. If you're on the fence and buying these, do yourself a favor and buy them. I have bought two of these units and they have completely changed the comfort in my home. The biggest thing is the humidity that it pulls out of the house a game changer. They are very quiet and cool very quickly and the best part is I can control them from my phone. A little tricky to set up the app but it is a convenience I do like. They are fairly straightforward to install with plenty of videos on YouTube to guide you. Once you install one, it's a breeze to install the next. I used nylon on the flairs and tried to use a torque wrench with crow's feet but worked horribly. I just hand-tightened them with two (average-size) wrenches - this way you can't over-tighten them. Hung them on the house with brackets with rubber bushing on Amazon. I have minimal vibration Hopefully, they last a while -as you never know the Durability of these units. Do your homework on which brand to buy your time, and you won't be disappointed!

This is my 7th Della mini split to install for friends and family I personally own one my grandmother owns two. We have never had any issues with any of them. I have one in my garage and it works perfectly and keeps the garage at the perfect temperature when you walk in it's like just walking into another part of your house. Love the fact that you can control it from your phone. Had really good luck with all of them so far. Very energy efficient using at most thousand Watts per hour on turbo Cool. This is based on my Tesla app for solar panels. Which is pretty accurate surprisingly.
