This unit has done a really good job handling both the heat and the humidity. The cooling power is strong. Once this gets going, it cools a room down FAST, especially during those brutal afternoons when the house starts feeling stuffy and impossible to escape from. The dehumidifying side of it makes an even bigger difference, honestly. The air just feels lighter and more comfortable instead of damp and sticky. I also really like that it doesn't constantly need draining. That was one of my biggest concerns with portable AC units because nobody wants to babysit a machine dumping water every day. Noise level has been reasonable, too. You can definitely hear it running, but it's more of a steady background sound instead of an obnoxious rattling noise. We've had no problem sleeping with it on. Setup was straightforward, and the window kit worked better than expected, especially for larger windows where some portable AC kits don't fit right.
