This unit uses R454B refrigerant. This unit comes pre-charged with R454B refrigerant for up to 24.5 feet of lineset. If your installation does not exceed this length, no additional refrigerant is needed.

What is the difference between R454B and R410A?

R454B is a new-generation eco-friendly refrigerant that complies with EPA regulations. It can replace the original R410A models, offering better performance and greater energy efficiency.

Can I get longer extensions for this installation kit?

Yes, you can purchase a longer lineset separately. If you buy it together with the Single Zone Mini split system, you’ll receive a 10% bundle discount. Please note, if the extended lineset is longer than 25 feet, additional refrigerant will be required. Make sure to consult a professional HVAC technician for proper installation.

When the unit is in auto mode, what will the room's temperature be maintained at?

In auto mode, the unit automatically switches between cooling and heating to maintain the set temperature. You can adjust the target temperature manually—typically between 60°F and 86°F —depending on your comfort.

Do the condenser lines come pre-vacuumed or do they have to be vacuumed?

The mini split condenser and lines are not pre-vacuumed. You will need to vacuum the system during installation to remove air and moisture before releasing the refrigerant—this is essential for proper operation and longevity. Installing the unit itself was easy. It's lightweight and the cardboard stencil for the mount was great. Was not able to use the cover for the 2.75 inch hole in the wall as that would not have let the unit sit flush to the wall and that's a bit of an oversight on the design. I love that it can be controlled with my phone because we lost the remote while cleaning all the boxes and stuff.

I really can't believe just how quiet this air conditioner is. I had to walk over in front of it and feel the air blowing to make sure it was on! I am really pleased with the efficiency with which it cools the room. We installed it in a family room that used to be a garage. By the time my nephew completed the installation, it was 81 degrees in the room. It took just a few minutes to cool the room. I had my nephew install this, so I can't say too much about that. However, I was seriously glad he did it, because it was well out of my ability range to do it. If you are handy and have a whole day to devote to the install, then you could probably do it.
