This unit uses R454B refrigerant. This unit comes pre-charged with R454B refrigerant for up to 24.5 feet of lineset. If your installation does not exceed this length, no additional refrigerant is needed.

What is the difference between R454B and R410A?

R454B is a new-generation eco-friendly refrigerant that complies with EPA regulations. It can replace the original R410A models, offering better performance and greater energy efficiency.

Can I get longer extensions for this installation kit?

Yes, you can purchase a longer lineset separately. If you buy it together with the Single Zone Mini split system, you’ll receive a 10% bundle discount. Please note, if the extended lineset is longer than 25 feet, additional refrigerant will be required. Make sure to consult a professional HVAC technician for proper installation.

When the unit is in auto mode, what will the room's temperature be maintained at?

In auto mode, the unit automatically switches between cooling and heating to maintain the set temperature. You can adjust the target temperature manually—typically between 60°F and 86°F —depending on your comfort.

Do the condenser lines come pre-vacuumed or do they have to be vacuumed?

The mini split condenser and lines are not pre-vacuumed. You will need to vacuum the system during installation to remove air and moisture before releasing the refrigerant—this is essential for proper operation and longevity. I'm a retired HVAC business owner/technician. It was an easy install. Always pull a good vacuum/leak check on any HVAC unit before releasing refrigerant into the lines and starting up the system. *(trick of the trade for the DIY'ers out there - ALWAYS use A LOT of Nylog Blue on ALL flare connections and threads - it WILL prevent future co$tly vibration leaks from occurring !!!) This 36000 Della Vario 19 Seer2 may seem as a little much for my 1200 square foot area. BUT this is southwest texas where the summer heat index hits 112-130f (OUFFF 🥵😓) at times and on those days, I feel certain, this Della Vario Monster will keep the house in the low 70's. If it does not then i will update accordingly.

I never have installed a mini split before but with a little research and the install kit it went very smooth. I am very hands on and capable of a project like this but that is not necessary if you take your time and go by the book. Della is the only HVAC seller that has a lifetime warranty. That sold me. I enjoyed the install. Rewarding when you execute the project correctly with the install kit.

I received an RMA (D13723-Della) for the 25 ft line kit that was not opened (16 Ft worked). The issue is UPS wants $176 (cheapest way) to return ship which is almost what I paid for it. Does Della have a cheaper method??? I understand it’s my responsibility and willing to pay return shipping but not the value of the item…
