What kind of refrigerant does this unit use?

This unit uses R32 refrigerant. This unit comes pre-charged with R32 refrigerant for up to 24.5 feet of lineset. If your installation does not exceed this length, no additional refrigerant is needed.

Can I get longer extensions for this installation kit?

Yes, you can purchase a longer lineset separately. If you buy it together with the Single Zone Mini split system, you’ll receive a 10% bundle discount. Please note, if the extended lineset is longer than 25 feet, additional refrigerant will be required. Make sure to consult a professional HVAC technician for proper installation.

When the unit is in auto mode, what will the room's temperature be maintained at?

In auto mode, the unit automatically switches between cooling and heating to maintain the set temperature. You can adjust the target temperature manually—typically between 60°F and 86°F —depending on your comfort.

Do the condenser lines come pre-vacuumed or do they have to be vacuumed?

The mini split condenser and lines are not pre-vacuumed. You will need to vacuum the system during installation to remove air and moisture before releasing the refrigerant—this is essential for proper operation and longevity. You can use our Rental Kit Service, which includes all the necessary tools for vacuuming and installing your mini split.

Can’t share my experience with installation, my dad who’s a contractor installed it for me. However it does great in my upstairs man cave, it used be so hot and now it’s keeps it very cool and comfortable and is very quiet compared to my window unit, can hardly hear it even in turbo, will definitely get another one for my garage! The only downside is the remote is pretty busy, but I just use the app

Not for your average installer. If you can follow a yourtube video you should be able to figure it out if you are handy and have a few HVAC tools (unless you rent them from Della). The app leaves a bit to be desired. It’s functional enough but there are options you can only use on the remote and there is very little reason as to why. Overall it was a good experience.

Warning, before trying to have the feedline exit on the right. Be aware that the copper lines on the inside units are metric. Plus, the larger copper tubing is much shorter than the smaller tube. If you try and bend the lines and come out the right side, be sure to measure and see if there is enough exiting the hole to make the 90-degree bend down the outside wall. I did not, so now I must come out the left side and patch the hole in the wall.
