This is the first mini split I've ever installed and it was pretty straight forward. I installed a sub panel and the cutoff switch, bought a vacuum pump and all and I felt it was easy enough to put another one in. In my research I found that Della was an excellent brand so that's what I went with. Im starting to finish the bonus room i put this in hasn't been finished yet so it's got the vents to the outside and the mini split is cooling the room down with it being 82F outside.

Installed myself and was pleased with the performance. Waited one year to review it for reliability purposes and it works flawlessly. Takes knowledge of electrical installation and you need to vacuum the system down before releasing the refrigerant. I did cut and flare the lines so they didn't look like they were installed like a 10-year-old. After that leak tested with nitrogen to ensure there were no leaks then the lines and head unit for an hour. Released refrigerant and can say this unit works as well as the expensive unit I have in another location. The heat works great as well. 18000 btu unit, 1200 square feet, and New England weather. Gets well into the 90s and below zero in winter. During extreme cold starting at about 15 ferenheight or so efficiency of heat diminishes but that's what the wood stove is for.

Della is a great place to order a mini split. The mini split is awesome! Fast Shipping and very well packaged. The unit is surprisingly quiet and works great! It also is very nice looking too. We had a garage fire and lost everything. As we got the garage rebuilt, we decided on a Della unit to heat and cool it. This is much safer than using anything propane or gas and we are hoping more economical too. The only problem we had was with the installation. We are both 70+years old and had a bit of trouble getting the inside unit up on the wall with just us. We did get it but not as easy as some people reported. We did have help with the rest of the install from our HVAC person, he did all of the electrical and refrigerant line work which made for a much neater install. Thank You, Della, for such an amazing product.

When Della finally understood my predicament with my contractor, they were very accommodating. The contractor had 100 days to register the units and he did not so the warranty was not valid. I tried to get the contractor to at least send me the receipts but he would not. When I won my case against the contractor, they agreed to test the equipment to see what was wrong and if possible fix it or replace. And they honored their agreement and with a small fee, shipped me a NEW UNIT in return. I am so grateful and happy! Not to mention how beautifully the Della works! I installed a dual head back in May in my sister-in-law's cabin. It was un-insulated but the dual head of 18.000BTU kept up with it! I came home in June and decided to install the 12,000 BTU mini split in my garage. It took me and a buddy about 1 day to install it and the electric supply. It's worked awesome! I do have my garage insulated and finished. It's 82 outside now (not too bad for August) however it's 74 in my garage which is what I set it to. Last month's electric bill doesn't count because I did not have a full month. However, this month did. and given slight variations my electric bill was not hit. I've been out here every day generally after 12. I'll be out here until, 9-10P with the air on!!! I'm totally happy with this purchase and I advise anyone who works or hangs out in the garage to get this! Previously in the winter, I had a propane tornado heater in my garage, and it generally cost me about $30 a month to heat. I'm looking forward to seeing how this impacts that cost this winter. I will follow up around the December time frame.

I have installed several mini-splits. Just for myself and my family. I'm not HVAC certified. If you have any mechanical ability they are easy to install. I've done Della and Senville. I will say that Senville seems to be better built but Della is cheaper. I guess it comes down to what your wallet can take. My Senville dropped my summer cooling cost down from 300+ a month to 120. Heating in the winter even more. I have the 24000 and 18000 btu units. My home is large. Built in 1918. The two units do a wonderful job. Remote controls are easy to understand. I wish I had these things back in the 90s. I definitely would recommend and would definitely replace the units if need be.

Honestly, the best product for the price. This is actually my second Della Unit. I have one in my attached garage/gym and had one installed in my detached garage gym. So the 18,000 btu unit was $899.00 and I paid a plumber $500 to run the 220, lines and install so for $1,400.00 I can keep my garage at any temperature that I want. I don't use the heat function so I can't speak on that but the AC function is killer. I mean no matter what the temperature is in the garage I can get it as cold as I want it. It will drop down about 7 degrees an hour. Super quiet, super efficient and super fast. App is not amazing but it is pretty user friendly and works well. Overall, happy with this company and their products. Considering they are close to half the price of some of their competitors it makes it worth it. Do I need AC in my garage? No, but it sure makes me a lot more likely to wax my car, spend time in there and do things in there. A 1st world luxury that is not needed but since I insulated my garage it makes it awesome. So, well worth the investment. My garage is 676 square feet and 12 foot tall and this unit has zero issues, would totally recommend.
